Compare Rates

Compare Rates

Get a comparison of rates for specialists in any domain. Claude will search the Ceki.me marketplace, aggregate pricing data, and present a clear comparison table with rates, experience levels, and availability.

Use Cases

Compare React developer rates
Find the best value for DevOps work
See the rate range for senior vs mid-level Python developers
Compare Solidity developer rates across 5 specialists
Find the most affordable TypeScript developer with 5+ years of experience
Benchmark Ruby on Rails rates before starting a project

How It Works

The compare-rates skill aggregates hourly rate data from Ceki.me specialists in a single query. Instead of opening multiple profiles and noting rates manually, Claude pulls the data and presents a structured comparison.

1
Search multiple specialists

Specify the technology, specialization, or role. Claude queries the marketplace and retrieves all matching specialists with their current rates.

2
Aggregate rates

Results are organized by rate, with experience level and availability visible alongside. You see the full distribution: minimum, maximum, and middle-range rates for that stack.

3
See experience levels

Each result includes seniority level and relevant specialization tags. Rate differences become meaningful when matched to experience context.

4
Make an informed decision

With the full rate landscape visible, you can identify outliers, understand what the market rate actually is for a given stack, and choose based on value rather than the first available profile.

Why Use This Skill

Rate transparency is rare in freelance marketplaces. Most platforms show you one profile at a time and make comparison deliberately inconvenient. Ceki.me exposes rate data through MCP, and the compare-rates skill makes that data accessible in a single command. This is useful at two stages: before you start a project, when you're setting a budget; and during a search, when you've found a candidate but aren't sure if the rate is fair. Either way, comparison takes seconds rather than 20 minutes of manual browsing. The data is live — rates specialists have set on their current profiles, not cached historical data. What you see is what's actually available today.
